Crosstab - disable separate scrollbars for dimensions/measures?
All,
We are running version 1.5.
We have realized that when designing a crosstab with a lot of characteristics in the rows area, we end up with one of 2 outcomes:
- If "Horizontal Scrolling for Header Area" is disabled, a crosstab stretches horizontally off the screen, with no option to scroll horizontally in browser or in crosstab (captured below)
- If "Horizontal Scrolling for Header Area" is enabled, we get get a horizontally shrunken data area with white space to the right, and either [1] a scrollbar for dimensions only if the measures list is small (captured below) or two scrollbars, one for dimensions and one for measures. I will also note that if we turn on "Always fill", the border of the crosstab goes all the way to the right margin of the screen, and without it, the border is on the right border of the "Student Count" measure shown below - in both cases, however, the actual crosstab area is equally small.
I am wondering if this design is alterable - we would like to have the option to have one scrollbar that affects the entire query, regardless of dimension/measures type, but more importantly, can we eliminate this white space? It seems counterintuitive to take away screen real estate in order to have a scroll feature enabled - are we missing a setting? We have tried playing with the max header width property to no avail - even if we set it to a value in the millions, the max area we are able to have dedicated to the crosstab is that pictured above, whether the setting is Auto or 2M. The only workaround we have come up with is hard-coding the crosstab size to exceed the right margin, which brings up a browser horizontal scroll bar, but we would rather avoid hard-coding objects to be oversized horizontally.
Thanks!

SOAMANAGER FIX to lost endpoints
Created by Joshua Lacroix
Thursday, October 22,
2015
Background:
In our Dev system, we lost the ability to display all
endpoints in SOAMANAGER. It would work with the old layout of SOAMANAGER but
not the new.
The issue
Doing a search for would return 0 results.
The fix
Click on Design Time Cache
Click the Administration Tab
Click on Build Central Design time Cache
Search for results in web service configuration. Results are
back.
Conclusion
What likely happened, in an effort to resolve another issue,
the resolve inconsistencies action was launched that knocked out the cache. It
is a very misleading button and action.

Can't load image through tag
I'm new to development on a SAP Portal. I have a URL iView that points to a HTML file out on the portal server. Inside that HTML file, I have a <IMG SRC="myLogo.jpg">. The logo file is in the same directory as the HTML file. When I load the page, everything loads fine except for the image. All I get is a....
Now I've replaced the image URL with another http://whereever.com/randomimage.jpg and it works.
The weird thing is if I go to http://myserver/myfolder/myLogo.jpg I get the following....
<HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY>.... some random garbage.... </BODY></HTML>
The image loads fine in any image viewer.
Is there something that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Curtis

Re: Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Hi Cynthia,
Note, too, that the SSN as it is placed, i.e. right of the name and above the zip, would be visible through any window. That's not good.

Capturing QC related labour cost in sub contracting process
Hello,
We are following a subcontracting process where we give components to the vendor and receive the finished goods into our warehouse ( standard SAP subcontracting process). One of the requirement from business is , if the QC labor costs for inspecting the incoming material from the supplier could be charged against the same finished product. Please let me know if SAP offer s a standard solution for this . If so , what settings needs to be done ( master data, configs etc..).
If SAP doesn't offer a solution , how can this be achieved?
Thanks
Sri

Power Designer - Mapping Editor Question
Hi Experts
I have a very basic question on Mapping Editor Tool in PD. I have created a .PDF for 2 Tables that are within the same database. I need to map fields from Table 1 to Table 2. Data for Table_2 comes from Table_1
Table_1 Table_2
E.Name E.Name
Age Age
*** ***
Say E.Name and Age fields are directly populated from its corresponding field value from Table_1. But for Table_2.*** the logic is
IF Table_1.*** = 'M' then
Table_2.*** = 'MALE'
Else
Table_2.*** = 'FEMALE'
Is is possible to mention this type of transformation logic while using the Mapping Editor?
Also how can i HARDCODE a value?
Regards
Praveen
Re: PR generated from MRP run exceeded maximum lot size
Luke, as per knowledge if you have requirement for 5000 system will create PR for 5000 but you have Max lot size in place, it may be multiple of 200 in each line item or separate PRs. Please share screen shots to understand your setup in material master.
Re: Incorrect Calculation of Payroll
Hello Tania,
I had a complete check on the condition. It seems all OK but I was not expecting Attendance Bonus to be calculated.
In this employees case: Attendance Bonus is also being calculated.
P.S- I have a custom PCR for attendance bonus

Re: ** under Exception Group column in MD06
Hi Caetano,
You hit the bulls eye !!
yes, the 01 exception messages were far more than 99. Hence SAP replaced it by **. Thanks

Re: Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Carlos;
I do not know why since the infotype data is the same, but when I run HRBEN0001 for the two people one comes back with the medical plan and the other does not. I am going to need to research this further.
Here is a question though. On page 29 of the user guide for determining what goes into box 14, it states "If no Minimum Essential Health Coverage is offered". What is the logic SAP uses to determine this? Is it by infotype information, or does SAP replicate the HRBEN0001 logic or something else? This may help us understand why some people are getting a 1H when we think they should get something else.
Thanks,
Andrew
