1. Since we have implemented SSO, the business user need not to have userid/password physically in ECC ?
If Mysso cookie is used you need to have same user id in both portal and backend. They will not be prompted for password if SSO is configured between portal and ECC.
2. Is it sufficient to have just EP userid/password to acces iview which fetches data from ECC ?
Yes
3. If I am not wrong, at communicaiton layer "certificate authenticaiton" works as "System User" to access ECC and fetch data ?
Usually data is fetched using jco and portal system connection details. There are two type of JCO one is metadata and model data. One user certs and one uses user id.
Can you please explain more what you mean by that.
