Oh wow. I really was shooting in the dark with that one, but it looks like it is paying off 
In any case, I've never worked with the ByteArrayInputStream, but if you log into the SAP Marke Place, look up KBA 1199097. These KBAs are availble from SCN: 1579202, 1613487. All of those KBAs describe the ByteArrayInputStream, thought the code is in Java, but I think that they should at least provide a pointer to a solution.
